Constituent demands for more responsive services, the need to attract younger workers to replace retiring baby boomers and outdated legacy systems are among the critical factors driving state and local governments to undergo digital transformation. To better understand how governments are responding to the need for transformation, the Center for Digital Government (CDG) surveyed 210 state and local government IT professionals about their challenges and plans to steer their organizations toward a more efficient future. The research revealed governments are automating workflows and turning to technology to streamline processes. They are also prioritizing the user experience — for internal employees and citizens — as they move forward. Download this publishable report to learn more key findings from the CDG research.
