Growing cybersecurity threats are driving significant changes to state and local cybersecurity efforts in the name of strengthening national security. The landscape around cybersecurity funding and incident reporting is evolving thanks to several recent pieces of federal legislation. In addition, agencies are shifting toward Zero-Trust security approaches that leverage artificial intelligence, automation and other advanced technologies to improve cyber protection.
