After recognizing the high cost of funding separate IT services for all executive branch departments, the state of Tennessee made the move to consolidate IT services, applications, management and support. The resulting Enterprise IT Transformation initiative transferred 21 agencies representing 1,000 employees to the Strategic Technology Solutions (STS) division in the Department of Finance and Administration.
