Cybersecurity is critical for higher education research institutions. Researchers who study topics ranging from healthcare to education to national security often handle sensitive information that could be vulnerable to cyberattacks. Not only is cybersecurity critical for protecting information and keeping institutions secure from outside threats, but it is also becoming mandatory.
