America’s opioid epidemic is continuing to get worse, and it’s evolving quickly. As states continue to clamp down on the abuse of legal prescriptions, illicitly manufactured fentanyl and other synthetic opioids are playing an ever-growing role. To address this shifting challenge, public health agencies and law enforcement must work together. By sharing data and optimizing their analytics capabilities, these and other agencies can make important headway in the fight against opioids.
