Keeping Smart Cities Secure

A recently released survey, conducted by the Center for Digital Government (CDG), found the number of IoT devices globally is expected to grow to 10 billion by 2020 and 22 billion by 2025, and smart city implementations are also taking hold. This paper takes a closer look at CDG’s survey data, explores the unique security challenges currently facing state and local government agencies and showcases the steps other public sector organizations are taking to protect their IoT technologies.
