Used out of necessity by jurisdictions across the country during the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual court technology is becoming a permanent part of the legal landscape in many jurisdictions. This paper explores the advantages of conducting court proceedings virtually, explains how new technology solutions are helping address virtual court challenges and offers lessons learned from jurisdictions that experimented with this approach during the pandemic.
