The federal government is making significant funding available to states and localities to improve broadband internet access. But maximizing the impact of these funds will depend on accurate coverage maps that enable government organizations to effectively target underserved areas and populations. This paper explains how Montana’s ConnectMT broadband program used advanced location data technology to create an accurate map of statewide broadband availability to help guide its efforts.
